Between Photos of My Husband on Stage
Bryan is on stage emceeing. I'm at the bar with my laptop, arcade machines glowing behind me, drink on the side.
Take a photo of him for his socials. Sit back down. Push a commit. Record a clip. Publish a case study.
I built an invoice system, published a blog post, and ran retros across three repos today. Not from my desk. From a bar with arcade machines.
Six months ago this would have been impossible. Code needed quiet. Drafting needed focus. The work demanded my full brain.
Now I just tell the agent what to build. It builds. I review. The parts that need me - "no, that number is wrong," "move the deliverables up," "make it shorter" - don't need silence. They need taste.
Bryan just made the crowd laugh. I looked up, took a photo, looked back down, pushed a commit.
His job is to never let the room go silent. Mine is to work without the quiet. We're both performing in our own way.
